Vacancy Short Description : This apprenticeship will train you in the machining and assembling of a variety of different components for the production of bag sealing machinery. You will become a multi skilled engineer developing both your electrical and mechanical skills.
Qualifications Required : To be considered for this position you must hold A*- E grades in Maths, English and Science or an equivalent qualification.
Vacancy Full Description : This apprenticeship will train you in the machining and assembling of a variety of different components for the production of bag sealing machinery. You will become a multi skilled engineer developing both your electrical and mechanical skills.
You will be trained by professionals and become responsible on a day to day basis in the production of the materials listed below:
•Steel in various grades including tooling steels
•Aluminium in various grades ranging from castings to aerospace grade billet components
You will also receive training on milling and turning on manual machines and some electrical assembly work.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a keen interest in engineering who is a fast learner and has a desire to develop within the industry.

Working Week : 37hrs pw Mon - Fri 8am - 4.30pm
Salary : £200.00 Per Week

Training to be Provided : During the course you will study three mandatory core units and a choice of three PEO engineering practical units in one of nine job-specific pathways. These pathways will cover machining, CNC machining, fitting and assembly, fabrication and welding, mechanical or electrical maintenance or electrical/electronic engineering. You will study to achieve the following qualifications:
Performing Engineering Operations NVQ Level 2 Diploma (QCF) – with bias to match chosen pathway
Industrial Environment Awareness Level 2 Award in (QCF)
English Functional Skills Level 2
Maths Functional Skills Level 2
