Vacancy Full Description : This apprenticeship is a superb and exciting way to start a career in IT working for a high technology company where you will provide excellent service to clients from around the world.
This apprenticeship training role will support staff in our sales, data, research, client and technical teams providing a range of services that include IT support, data management support, website development, user experience, database work, testing of software, IT & equipment maintenance, documentation, administration and the support of other members of staff in the business.
This role will also support the company maintaining operational servers, systems and processes on the internet 24/7. It requires a blend of skill ranging from professional knowledge, working as part of a team, communication and investigatory skills, and being reliable and trustworthy.
• Be responsible for helping to maintain security of the office, site and equipment and comply with Health & Safety and Fire Regulations.
• To achieve agreed business objectives.
• Be innovative and constantly seek ways to improve processes and profitability
• Understand and comply with Market Research Society rules, ISO 9001-2008, ISO 20252:2013 and the Data Protection Act 1998.
Acuigen is a company which undertakes projects often at short notice, requiring the company to be adaptable, creative and deliver robust solutions to a contracted timescale. Whilst your job is defined in this document you will be expected and agree to undertake other work for the company to assist achieving its mission.

Working Week : 40 hours pw (Monday-Friday) 8:30am to 5:30pm
Salary : £202.00 Per Week

Personal Qualities : We are looking for candidates who are:
-Reliable and thorough with a flair of creativity.
-Able to work flexibly outside normal working hours.
-Based within 30 minutes travelling time of Cranfield.
-Willingness to work occasional weekends/out of hours to undertake maintenance.
-Be able to participate in a Duty IT Roster, attending offices out of working hours to deal with an IT Incident (server failure).
Skills Required : For this role you will need good written and spoken English language skills. Be trustworthy and honest with some experience of working with databases, website or software development (possibly as a project at school or a hobby).
You should be willing to carry out practical tasks like network cabling and capable of receiving briefs, interpreting requests and finding solutions on how to complete the work.

Training to be Provided : CG LEVEL 2 FUNCTIONAL SKILLS QUALIFICATION IN INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY
OCR LEVEL 3 DIPLOMA IN IT USER SKILLS (ITQ) (QCF)
CG LEVEL 2 FUNCTIONAL SKILLS QUALIFICATION IN MATHEMATICS
CG LEVEL 2 FUNCTIONAL SKILLS QUALIFICATION IN ENGLISH
Other Information : Candidates must attend an initial interview with a member of the Bedford College Apprenticeship Recruitment Team if they meet the initial criteria as part of the recruitment process.
Are you flexible? This role does require some out of hours, weekend and shift work when required so please consider this before applying.
We currently employ 4 apprentices.
Things to consider : Do not like computers? Then this apprenticeship is not for you as it involves working on a computer for long hours.
