Vacancy Full Description : This is an interesting opportunity for the right individual to use their interest in engineering to support our growing Sales Team by providing technical support and first class customer service for a range of industrial and automation control products.
This role would suit someone who has a keen interest in engineering who is willing to learn about all the products available with Dalroad but also has confident communication skills as you will be required to provide technical support to our customers.
Some of your core duties will include:
Responding to technical support requests promptly and efficiently.
Ensuring you have an up-to-date product knowledge.
Providing technical support for both, our customers and our internal and external sales team.
Ensuring the correct technical information is available and provided.
Ensuring returned items are logged correctly and inspected to the best of your ability or passed on to more senior engineers.
Placing purchase orders with suppliers.
Booking goods on to the system from supplier delivery notes.
Arranging engraved items to be bagged, set up and sent out to the engravers.
Deal with all orders placed including checking deliveries, order status and progression to ensure customers and Area Sales Managers are aware of all information.
Deal with any complaints regarding any late orders, wrong products or picking issues.
Handle all quotation requests that have been received via phone, email and fax.
Ensure discounts are assigned to specific customers.
Placing sales orders on to the in-house system and ensuring information is correct at all times.
Notifying customers of any discrepancies/quantity issues or pricing issues.
Liaise with all department including purchasing/accounts/warehouse & sales to ensure customer orders are managed efficiently.
Liaise with Operations Manager with regards to higher authorisation or major concerns to customer orders.
Attend any customers meetings to ensure all concerns are addressed and relationships are kept strong.
Complete any training necessary to complete daily duties.
Any ad-hoc duties requested by line manager.

Working Week : Mon-Thurs 8:30-17:00- Fri 8:30-16:30 37hpw
Salary : £230.00 Per Week

Future Prospects : Following the successful completion of your apprenticeship there is an opportunity of a full time post .
Training to be Provided : General product training will be given on the full range of products supplied by Dalroad. Further in depth training will be given on the industrial and automation products that the role will support.
Training will also be given on the in-house computer systems.
The applicant will be given day release to study an appropriate course. This will depend on the applicants existing grades and starting level.
Other Information : Candidates must attend an initial interview with a member of the Bedford College Apprenticeship Recruitment Team if they meet the initial criteria as part of the recruitment process.
Things to consider : This role is office based but will include on site training at one of our key customers to gain practical experience.
