Qualifications Required : Candidates must have GCSEs A*-D , 3-9 or a Level 1 equivalent in Maths and English
Vacancy Full Description : Windsor Road Garage in Bedford are looking for a motor vehicle enthusiast to join their team as a Mechanical Engineer assisting with general maintenance and repair as well as MOT assistance. The ideal candidate will have a good attitude, willingness to learn, excellent practical skills, a keen interest in working on vehicles as well as being reliable with excellent attendance. You will be trained by a qualified engineer with over 30 years experience in the trade and finish your apprenticeship as a fully qualified tester and engineer.
- Vehicle fault finding and repairs.
- Carry out vehicle services.
- Carry out/or assist with vehicle MOT's.
- Stand in for the shop manager when required.
- Complete all relevant paperwork.
- Maintain a high level of customer service at all times.
The site is very clean and modern, with great facilities, and a nice local area close to town.
Number of Positions Available : 1
Working Week : 40hrs Mon-Sat 9am-6pm Shifts TBC
Salary : £140.00 Per Week

Personal Qualities : You must have confident communication skills and have well spoken English, the ability to speak other languages is desirable but not essential. You must also be hard working, punctual, clean in appearance and willing to learn.
Skills Required : You must have previous experience of working on cars and be able to demonstrate your ability
Future Prospects : A potential chance to become a full qualified MOT tester & engineer, with training from an engineer/owner who has had 30+ years experience in the field.
Training to be Provided : You will work towards your Apprenticeship Standard in Motor Vehicle Service and Maintenance Technician
