As an apprentice you will gain knowledge and experience in the following:
Working in a healthy and safe manner.
Trade related skills in a range of carpentry skills including:
Cutting and pitching timber roofs
Erecting timber trussed roofs
Fixing timber joists, fascias and bargeboard
Fitting door frames, door linings, hanging doors
Along with fitting ironmongery, erecting timber studwork, plasterboard, architrave and skirting.
The ability to lift timber with help when required

Working Week : 37.5hrspw Mon - Fri 8am - 5pm
Salary : £150.00 Per Week

Other Information : Candidates must attend an initial interview with a member of the Bedford College Apprenticeship Recruitment Team if they meet the initial criteria as part of the recruitment process.
Things to consider : The apprentice would be expected to purchase tools over the length of apprenticeship so they had a basic range of tools. The apprentice would need to be able to be on site at 7.30am to finish 4.00 - 4.30pm sometimes with 1 hour travelling to site, (not always).
