Number of Positions Available : 1
Working Week : 39 hrs MON-THURS 7:00-16:00, FRI 7:00 - 12:00
Salary : £195.00 Per Week

Personal Qualities : We require a person who is presentable as well as a good communicator; who also mixes well with people from different levels of our organization. The successful candidate also needs to be disciplined and have good attention to details. Also enthusiasm is a must.
Skills Required : The person we are seeking must have a natural aptitude for mechanical engineering. As well as being literate, numerate, and have basic IT skills.
Future Prospects : MDS aim to offer the successful Apprentice, once qualified, a full time position on the shop floor specialising in one or more disciplines of the Company's operations.
Training to be Provided : You will be trained:
NVQs (work-based learning)
•Electrical and Electronic Engineering NVQ Level 3 Extended Diploma (incorporating level 2 Performing Engineering Operations that is studied in the first year at College)
Technical Certificates (classroom-based learning)
•EAL level 3 Subsidiary Diploma in Engineering Technology
•BTEC level 3 90-credit Diploma in Engineering
•BTEC level 3 Diploma in Engineering
•English, maths and ICT Functional Skills
•Employee Rights and Responsibilities
•Personal Learning and Thinking Skills.
Other Information : Candidates must attend an initial interview with a member of the Bedford College Apprenticeship Recruitment Team. If they meet the initial criteria as part of the recruitment process.
Things to consider : The vacancy will be shop floor based at our Factory in Bedford.
