We are looking for an enthusiastic apprentice to learn how to use Social Media to promote our work. The apprentice will eventually manage all of the Trust’s social media channels and campaigns with guidance from the Trust CEO. This will involve researching and analysing social media trends, including social media advert revenue and web visitor data. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to learn and progress within Marketing.

We would like the Apprentice to complete a Business Apprenticeship so that they have a full understanding of how businesses work. The main focus of this role will be:

Oversee all Trust social media accounts management with guidance and support from a mentor and the Trust CEO.

Develop and engage, creative, innovative content for regularly scheduled posts, which enlighten audiences and promote brand-focused messages.

Coordinate social media messaging with Senior Leadership teams from each Academy setting and the Trust CEO on quarterly or seasonal goals.

Learn how to audit and analyse social media presences, including digital advertising costs and returns.

With the help of our Marketing & PR partner, learn how to analyse social media campaigns with tracking systems to gather visitor data and determine efficiency and areas for social media campaign improvement.

Work with other staff in LIFE Academies Trust and each Academy setting to develop social media timelines coinciding with new developments, advert campaigns, or other brand messages.

Study ways to monitor and develop reports on competitor activity within social media spaces.

After year 1 learn how to develop a continued marketing strategy for the Trust for use as new schools join.

Our Apprentice will need to have the ability to build good working relationships with teaching, administrative and support staff.

Website updating – with support and guidance, learn how to update and refresh the schools’ websites, sourcing and editing articles from staff and students and uploading them to the site.

Event management - help other members of the Trust to organise and attend promotional events, including those held by the Trust, those hosted by the schools in other venues, and events and exhibitions organised by third parties.

Press liaison - help draft press releases and disseminate to local and national media as well as specialist educational publications. Find ways to build relationships with the media. Liaise with photographers to ensure good quality images are available to accompany stories

Photography – be able to take good quality photographs for social media purposes, as directed by senior members of staff.

Other administration duties as required.

Personal Specification
We are ideally looking for someone who wants a career in Marketing. Who already uses Social Media and is confident in their ability on the different platforms. Someone who understands the power of Social Media. We would also like someone who has administration and co-ordination skills, maybe you have some work experience in this area.
You must have great attention to detail to be successful in this role.
Demonstrate initiative and enthusiasm.
Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
Good interpersonal, teamwork and relationship management skills, a can-do approach.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Computer literate.

For this role you must have a high level of proficiency in IT software.

Working Week : 37 hrs pw Mon - Thurs 8am - 4.30pm Fri 8am - 4pm
Salary : £200.00 Per Week

Other Information : There will be travel involved in the role. Visits to schools may be required. There will also be work experience days with our Marketing and PR provider.

Things to consider : The Trust is a small team. You will be spending a lot of time working at a computer, sometimes on your own in the office if the other members of staff are out at sites.
