Vacancy Full Description : Apprentice for busy town centre workshop specialising in vehicle repair and servicing including mots, air-con and tyres.
We require an enthusiastic and outgoing apprentice for our garage in Leighton Buzzard. We service and repair all makes of vehicles and our services include tyres, brakes, suspension, air-con, wheel alignment and mots.
You must be reliable and enthusiastic and have a good work attitude. We are looking for someone long term who wants to become part of our work family. Most of the staff here have been here a long time and a lot of us started here as apprentices 20+ years ago so this is a long term job and we are looking for someone with that sort of attitude.
Number of Positions Available : 1
Working Week : 40hrs pw. 5 of 7 days (including Saturday) 8.30am-5pm
Salary : £140.00 Per Week

Future Prospects : To become a fully trained and competent mechanic, with the possibility of long term movement into management
Training to be Provided : During this apprenticeship you will study a range of topics, including:
•Health, safety and good housekeeping in the automotive environment
•Support for job roles in the automotive environment
•Materials, fabrication, tools and measuring devices used in the automotive environment
•Routine light vehicle maintenance
•Light vehicle engine lubrication and cooling system units and components
•Light vehicle fuel, ignition, air and exhaust systems units and components
•Removing and replacing light vehicle engine units.
Other Information : Candidates must attend an initial interview with a member of the Bedford College Apprenticeship Recruitment Team if they meet the initial criteria as part of the recruitment process
Things to consider : This is a workshop role. You WILL get dirty, cold in the winter and hot in the summer.
This position does include Saturday work. You will receive 2 days off, Sunday and another during the week.
