Qualifications Required : You will need a minimum of three GCSEs at grades A*-D / 9-4 or Level 1 equivalent, ideally including English, maths, science and or a technical based subject such as engineering or product design.
Vacancy Full Description : Precision Engineering Apprentice working with experienced machinists been shown safe and effective quality engineering manufacturing methods.
A Machining Apprenticeship in the operation of all workshop engineering machines :-
1. Operating CNC Turning and Manual Turning machines,
2. Operating CNC Milling machines
3. Surface and Cylindrical Grinding operation.
4. When required some MIG welding
5. Producing all manufactured materials to a high quality standard.
6. At the end of the apprenticeship be able to work in all areas of the workshop to become a valued member of the team.
Number of Positions Available : 1
Working Week : 37hrs ppw Mon- Fri 7:30am - 17:15pm
Salary : £140.00 Per Week

Personal Qualities : Have the desire and passion for learning engineering in a busy manufacturing environment. The successful candidates must have good communication skills and be able to listen and carry out both written and verbal instructions. Have a pleasant disposition and be able to work well within the team. Have a desire to learn and a positive attitude towards their work with excellent time keeping.
Skills Required : Having an interest in making this and understanding how they are made
Have an interest in the Engineering sector
Desire to learn new skills
Practically minded and able to carry out manual work
Able to adapt well to change
Be a good team player and comfortable working as part of a small team
