Vacancy Short Description : Colbree Precision are looking for an apprentice Inspector, mechanical and CMM measurement of manufactured parts for production. 1st off inspection, patrol the inspections.
Qualifications Required : You will need a minimum of three GCSEs at grades A*-D / 9-4 or Level 1 equivalent, ideally including English, maths, science and or a technical based subject such as engineering or product design. Ideal candidate would already have a Level 2 in Engineering or higher.
Vacancy Full Description : Apprentice Inspector responsible for the inspection of production, Goods in and customer returned parts
1. 1st off inspection .
2. Patrol inspection.
3. Goods In Inspection
4. Inspecting any customer returns
5. Liaising with the Quality Manager on any quality Concerns
The individual will be responsible on a day to day basis in the inspections of the listed above. The Inspection of these listed is to be carried out at the source. All Inspection data is to be recorded on the revers of the job cards including the gauge(s) used to measure. Where applicable attaching photo evidence on the CMM alignment.
In house training will be provided on the CMM and when deemed ready external training will be provided.

Working Week : 40hrs wpw Mon-Thurs 7:45am - 5pm Fri 7am-12:30pm
Salary : £220.00 Per Week

Other Information : Candidates must attend an initial interview with a member of the Bedford College Apprenticeship Recruitment Team and complete an online Maths and English test which will be sent out prior to your initial interview if you meet the entry criteria. All work will be based at our site in Pitstone
Things to consider : Working in a workshop environment, in a manufacturing production environment and can be very quick paced at certain times.
Full training will be given on equipment used, Quality processes and manufacturing MRP system
