Vacancy Short Description : As an apprentice with Massmould you will actively learn how to ensure the smooth and efficient running of a production site. You will complete placements in areas of the business to include; Maintenance, Injection Mould Processing & Design & Development.

 

Qualifications Required : You must have 4 GCSE’s (A*-C 9 - 4) and/or good grades in A-Level or equivalent subject such as maths, science, English and design & technology.

We also accept students who have already completed L2/L3 NVQ in Engineering subjects
Vacancy Full Description : As an apprentice with Massmould you will actively learn how to ensure the smooth and efficient running of a production site. You will complete placements in areas of the business to include; Maintenance, Injection Mould Processing, Design & Development and Quality and Production.

We are looking to recruit Apprentices for the new 2018 academic year. Predominately Engineering based you will actively learn about how to ensure the smooth, efficient and effective running of a production site.

The Apprentice will complete placements in areas of the business to include; Maintenance, Injection Mould Processing, Design & Development, Quality and Production.

At the end of your Apprenticeship, typically 3 years, you will have completed a Level 3 NVQ Extended Diploma or if you have already gained this qualification through your studies a higher qualification i.e. HNC/HND. Whilst primarily the Units delivered will be mechanical engineering based, flexibility will be afforded to where your natural strengths and interests develop within the business.

Your future at Massmould can lead to careers such as:

• Maintenance Engineer
• Electrical Maintenance Engineer
• Continuous Improvements Engineer
• Process Technician (Injection Moulding)
• Product Designer

With some good experience behind you, there is potential to develop into supervisor and management positions i.e. Cell Supervisor, Production Manager, Production Director. Our Production Directors and Operations Director are ‘home grown’ from the shop floor so the potential is unlimited…!

Working Week : 40hrs pw Mon - Fri8am - 5pm
Salary : £210.00 Per Week

EMTA LEVEL 2 AWARD IN PERSONAL LEARNING AND THINKING SKILLS
EMPLOYMENT RIGHTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
CG LEVEL 2 FUNCTIONAL SKILLS QUALIFICATION IN ENGLISH
CG LEVEL 2 FUNCTIONAL SKILLS QUALIFICATION IN INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY
CG LEVEL 2 FUNCTIONAL SKILLS QUALIFICATION IN MATHEMATICS
Other Information : Once satisfactory completion of required training flexibility on your working days will be required, which will include weekend working. Occasional travel to other (local) Massmould sites.

Candidates must attend an initial interview with a member of the Bedford College Apprenticeship Recruitment Team and complete an online Maths and English test which will be sent out prior to your initial interview if you meet the entry criteria. Please note this is part of the recruitment process and must be completed in order for your application to be progressed to the next stage.
Things to consider : Working within a fast paced production environment this is a demanding position where you will be expected to work quickly and efficiently without compromising safety and quality.
