Vacancy Full Description : Fantastic opportunity for an apprentice maintenance engineer (FMGC)(mechanical and electrical/electronic)(FOOD) to join a well established family company specializing is egg production and packing in a state of the art packing facility.
On offer is a level 3 advanced apprenticeship in engineering maintenance (mechanical and electrical/electronic)(in a food manufacturing environment). This role will include day to day activities of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) to manufacturers schedules and reactive maintenance of egg packing machinery (including robotics) which falls under the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) method of production. Hazard And Critical Control Points (HACCP) awareness training to be completed.
Adopt a continuous improvement philosophy.
Use company Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for work logging and completion details.
Employ initiative and decision making for the benefit of the effective, safe production, safety of yourself and others.
Identify and request personal improvement opportunities and request training or receive training as directed.
Fault finding and resolution.
Assisting in the installation and commissioning of new machinery where necessary.
This position will report directly to packing centre engineer for support and guidance on a day to day basis.

Working Week : 40hrs pw Mon - Fri 08:00 - 16:30
Salary : £230.00 Per Week

Training to be Provided : You will gain the following qualifications:
•Engineering BTEC Level 3 Diploma
•Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Foundation Competence) EAL Level 2 Diploma
•Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering – Mechatronics Maintenance Technician (Development Competence) EAL Level 3 Diploma
Other Information : Possibility of traveling abroad for manufacturer/factory courses.

Things to consider : This position will require manual handling at times within a busy food production facility environment where strict protocols and procedures are in place. PPE such as overcoats, safety footwear and hairnets/beard snoods are supplied and compulsory.
