Vacancy Short Description : A person to train up to be an additional X-ray Service Engineer. Full training will secure a future position which never one day is the same.
Qualifications Required : Grade requirements: GCSE Maths and English at grade C (9 -4 )or above. Grade C or above in Science is desirable but not essential, a technical based subject such as engineering or product design is required. Basic Electricity theory and Practice.
Vacancy Full Description : 1. Training will be provided in the support of becoming an Industrial X-ray Service Engineer
2. The required person must have an interest in the subjects of electronics/PC’s and/or programming skills.
3. The work will mainly involve electrical/mechanical work and the required person must have an interest in these dual disciplines.
4. Have an aptitude and understanding in working with a range of x-ray equipment the company supply.
5. Be comfortable in working within a small team installing and maintaining, a wide range of these industrial x-ray machines.
6. Be an advocate of the business working directly with clients & customers on site premises.
7. Relish the challenge of learning new things in an ever varying industry.
8. This person will be expected to be educated to a level and ability to take on board Further Education both within the company and at a local college.

Working Week : Monday - Friday 8am - 4pm
Salary : £180.00 Per Week

Personal Qualities : Our work involves working at various secure sites, the successful applicant will be required to go through the DV (Developed Vetting) process.
Skills Required : An interest & basic understanding of electricity/electronics and to be able to understand how electricity works. Interested in technical aspects of machinery and how things work. Mechanical ability. The person required must either have a driving license (with no major endorsements) or be close to passing their Driving Test.
Future Prospects : Initially to support our experienced X-ray Service Engineer on service and installation. The successful applicant would, after training, be provided with a car to carry out service work on their own, supported by the office. The right person will develop both confidence and skills to be able to work alone when required, in the UK and Ireland, when fully trained, to support a long term career ahead in an industry which is both unique and secure
Training to be Provided : Performing Engineering Operations NVQ Level 2 Diploma (QCF) – with bias to match your chosen pathway

Other Information : The basic weekly salary was based on a 17 year old and will be adjusted to suit the Applicant. Working away will be expected (at no cost to the Applicant) as well as possible late evening returns or weekend work. Once trained any time spent over 40 hours per week (past the first year of your apprenticeship) will be paid extra or given as time off in lieu. Flexibility is required. Holidays will be paid time but illness away from work or college will not be paid until all training has been completed.
Things to consider : We are a family run business. The Aegleteq office/workshop are based in a home with off site storage/assembly premises. All service and installation work is carried out at Customers premises. On occasions there could be a whole week away from home.
