Level 2 Motor Vehicle Light Maintenance and Repair or experience of working on cars
Vacancy Full Description : The successful candidate will
Gain hands on training in the workshop
Spend time in college
Assist in the maintenance and repair of all types of vehicles
Assist in the carrying out of diagnosing faults using diagnostic equipment
Assist in the carrying out of MOT tests
Number of Positions Available : 1
Working Week : Monday - Friday 8.30 - 5.30
Salary : £148.00 Per Week

Personal Qualities : This is an ideal opportunity for someone who already has their Level 2 Motor Vehicle qualification to progress further. As an Apprentice with us you will be working alongside and trained by technicians carrying out duties as required in the workshop.
On a day to day to basis and under supervision you will be working on various car and light commercial vehicles as well as assisting with MOT duties and assisting the Testers.
Skills Required : You must be polite and willing to learn with a keen interest in cars. Some experience would be desirable but not essential. Attention to detail adherence to technicians advice, clean appearance good communication skills
Future Prospects : Achieving full accreditation in motor vehicles and working as part of a team
Training to be Provided : During this apprenticeship you will study a range of topics, including:
•Health, safety and good housekeeping in the automotive environment
•Support for job roles in the automotive environment
•Materials, fabrication, tools and measuring devices used in the automotive environment
•Routine light vehicle maintenance
•Light vehicle engine lubrication and cooling system units and components
•Light vehicle fuel, ignition, air and exhaust systems units and components
•Removing and replacing light vehicle engine units.
Other Information : Candidates must attend an initial interview with a member of the Bedford College apprenticeship Recruitment Team and complete an online Math and English test which will be sent out prior to your initial interview, if you meet the entry criteria.
