Vacancy Short Description : We are currently looking to recruit a Business Administration Apprentice to learn all aspects of administration and support within the school environment.
Qualifications Required : GCSE's including Maths and English at Grade 9-5 / A-C or above or equivalent
Vacancy Full Description : We are currently looking to recruit a Business Administration Apprentice to learn all aspects of administration and support within the school environment.Once the basic administration skills are mastered we would like to support the successful candidate to develop further with a series of projects to gain experience of different aspects of business.
Assistance with basic finance administration including raising purchase orders and requisitions, dealing with goods received and chasing up outstanding orders as necessary;
Assistance with our cashless catering system for students/parents;
Assisting the Executive Principal’s PA with general administrative duties involving collating papers, photocopying, filing;
General Reception duties including answering the phone/message taking;
Departmental administration including stock management;
Speaking to parents and suppliers and resolving queries;
Ad-hoc administrative duties – including filing
To be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and for raising any concerns in line with Trust procedures.
To attend college and complete the course work to the required standard
To complete all statutory training.
To be responsible for promoting British values, including tolerance and for challenging any extremist views expressed by visitors, students or anybody else on the Wootton Academy Trust’s sites and away from the sites on school trips and visits.
Maintain confidentiality at all times in respect of school related matters and to prevent disclosure of confidential and sensitive information.
To be responsible for following health and safety requirements in line with Trust policy and procedures.
Undertake any other duties of a similar level and responsibility as may be required

Working Week : 37hrs pw Mon-Thurs 8:30am - 4:30pm Fir 8:30am - 4:00pm
Salary : £136.90 Per Week

Training to be Provided : You will gain the following qualifications:
Business Administrator Level 3 Apprenticeship
•Functional Skills in English and Maths
•Functional Skills in ICT
During this apprenticeship you will study a range of topics, including:
•Record and document production
•Planning and organisation
•Processes and external environment factors.
Other Information : Candidates must attend an initial interview with a member of the Bedford College Apprenticeship Recruitment Team and complete an online Maths and English test which will be sent out prior to your initial interview if you meet the entry criteria. Please note this is part of the recruitment process and must be completed in order for your application to be progressed to the next stage.
Things to consider : As with all administration roles, there are some aspects that can be a bit boring, however in a school office there is rarely a dull moment!
