Surveyors ensure that the responsive repairs/void service that we provide to our customers is efficient and that quality standards are delivered. They are responsible for ensuring that the properties we own and manage are places that people can be proud to live in. They work with our main contractors ensuring that targets are met, high standards are achieved and that customers receive good value for money.
This is an Apprentice post and therefore requires a commitment to attend college to undertake a BTEC level 3 Diploma in Construction. Alongside this, we will work closely with you on a development programme to ensure that you acquire the skills you need to become a fully qualified Surveyor.
Trainee role to develop the skills, techniques and professional qualification to progress to a fully qualified surveyor within a 2 year period.
Work with the Maintenance Team to deliver a comprehensive, good quality responsive repairs and maintenance service to bpha's customers.
Work with Property Services to ensure our contractors provide an excellent service to our customers

Working Week : 37hrs pw Mon-Thurs 9am-5pm Fri 9am-4:30pm
Salary : £346.00 Per Week

Personal Qualities : Positive can-do attitude. The ability to think on their feet and not afraid to ask questions. Ability to communicate well with confidence and ease. Eager to understand building conditions and maintenance of buildings.
Skills Required : Desire to learn on the job. A keen eye for details and to work as a team would be advantageous. Having a general interest in the construction and building sector would also stand you in good stead.
Future Prospects : Develop skills, techniques and gain a professional qualification to become a fully qualified surveyor.

Other Information : You will be expected to travel to college 1 day per week for studies.
Candidates must attend an initial interview with a member of the Bedford College Apprenticeship Recruitment Team and complete an online Maths and English test which will be sent out prior to your initial interview if you meet the entry criteria.
