Vacancy Full Description : We are looking for an enthusiastic person who is looking for a career in Electrical Engineering. KMG Systems are the global leader in the design and manufacture of conveying and seasoning systems for the food industry.
The primary role will be panel wiring/panel building with additional work on small electrical installations and electrical work on equipment around the factory.
Through an apprenticeship, the successful candidate will be trained in engineering aspects including panel wiring, installations & health & safety. The main responsibility of Electrical Engineer at KMG Systems is to be part of our expanding team of electrical engineers to support our mechanical engineering production work. This includes:
Machine wiring (flying leads, plugs/sockets)
Reading Electrical schematics/wiring diagrams
Electrical fault finding / testing
Number of Positions Available : 1
Working Week : 39 hrs p/w Mon-Fri 8am-5pm
Salary : £240.00 Per Week

Personal Qualities : All round good attitudes to learning new skills, must have a good attitude to work in general, punctual, open & honest personality. Must have a desire to learn. Electrical experience or interest must be demonstrated.

Training to be Provided : The qualifications you will study to achieve will depend on your chosen pathway, and include:
NVQs (work-based learning)
•Electrical and Electronic Engineering NVQ Level 3 Extended Diploma (incorporating level 2 Performing Engineering Operations that is studied in the first year at College)
Technical Certificates (classroom-based learning)
•EAL level 3 Subsidiary Diploma in Engineering Technology
•BTEC level 3 90-credit Diploma in Engineering
•BTEC level 3 Diploma in Engineering
•English, maths and ICT Functional Skills
•Employee Rights and Responsibilities
•Personal Learning and Thinking Skills.
During this apprenticeship you will study a range of topics, including:
•Health and safety
•Maths for technicians
•Electrical and electronic engineering
•Engineering drawing for technicians
You will also study specialist units depending on the pathway your employer chooses.
Other Information : All Engineering apprenticeship applicants must attend an Engineering Assessment Day at Bedford College, Brunel Road. The next running session will be the 26th July 2018, 9-12pm. We will contact you with the details of this event once we have reviewed your application.
Candidates must attend an initial interview with a member of the Bedford College Apprenticeship Recruitment Team and complete an online Maths and English test which will be sent out prior to your initial interview if you meet the entry criteria. Please note this is part of the recruitment process and must be completed in order for your application to be progressed to the next stage.
