Working Week : 40hrs pw - Mon-Fri 9am-5pm
Salary : £234.00 Per Week

Training to be Provided : The qualifications you will study to achieve will depend on your chosen pathway, and include:
NVQs (work-based learning)
•Electrical and Electronic Engineering NVQ Level 3 Extended Diploma (incorporating level 2 Performing Engineering Operations that is studied in the first year at College)
Technical Certificates (classroom-based learning)
•EAL level 3 Subsidiary Diploma in Engineering Technology
•BTEC level 3 90-credit Diploma in Engineering
•BTEC level 3 Diploma in Engineering
•English, maths and ICT Functional Skills
•Employee Rights and Responsibilities
•Personal Learning and Thinking Skills.
During this apprenticeship you will study a range of topics, including:
•Health and safety
•Maths for technicians
•Electrical and electronic engineering
•Engineering drawing for technicians
You will also study specialist units depending on the pathway your employer chooses.
Other Information : All Engineering apprenticeship applicants must attend an Engineering Assessment Day at Bedford College, Brunel Road. The next running session will be the 26th July 2018, 9-12pm. We will contact you with the details of this event once we have reviewed your application.
Candidates must attend an initial interview with a member of the Bedford College Apprenticeship Recruitment Team and complete an online Maths and English test which will be sent out prior to your initial interview if you meet the entry criteria. Please note this is part of the recruitment process and must be completed in order for your application to be progressed to the next stage.
Things to consider : Work may include some weekend work (only on occasion) and travel within the UK. We do try to adhere to the normal working hours but sometimes our works need to be completed after office hours or during factory shut downs as a matter of safety.
Some of our work is outside and some of our works include some heavy lifting. Applicants need to be fit and able to work in a variety of conditions. At the end of the day, we wouldn't ask you to do anything that we wouldn't do ourselves.
